Triple G’s was started several years ago for girls ages 13-21. The goal of this group is to help the girls learn more about themselves, about others, and most importantly, about God. Triple G’s stands for Going, Growing, and Giving, which pretty much sums up what goes on at the monthly meetings. All of their activities—Bible study, visiting our Treasured Saints, making crafts, shopping—are done together in a fun, positive way. A devotion or a testimony is often shared by a lady in our church or a neighboring church. Therefore, the girls are challenged, motivated, and encouraged by someone outside of their own circle. They are taught that there is a rewarding way to get through the times of peer pressure and come out victorious.
One of the great things about this group is that it is designed uniquely for girls. Discussions, outings, and events are all tailored just for girls. We feel they need activities surrounded by godly influences during this crucial time in their lives. Charity Richardson, leader of the Triple G’s says, “It is so important for teenage girls to have someone to take time to love them, guide them, listen to them, and most importantly, pray for them. It’s my honor to meet with them, learn about them, and love them.”
