Discovery Outdoors
The Bible Baptist Tabernacle Discovery Outdoors began as an extension of our Discovery Bible Club. It serves a dual purpose of supporting the Bible Club while allowing children and their families to enjoy God’s creation and learn outdoor skills.
While enjoying the beauty of God’s creation, children (and adults) learn about camping and survival skills as well as how to take care of the world with which God has entrusted us. Each year the Discovery Outdoor members take a family camping trip to a nearby state or national park. We have seen up to 20 families and 80 campers make this trip. God has blessed our time around the campfire as we fellowshipped one with another and opened God's Word together. These memories will impact the campers (young and old alike) for a lifetime.
Discovery Outdoors has plans to take its club members camping, canoeing, whitewater rafting, and on high rope courses. In the future we hope to include skills and safety training classes which the clubbers will be able to use in their daily lives as they get older. We invite all children to be a part of Discovery Outdoors. You may join up by coming to any Discovery Bible Club meeting.
